A Poem — There’s the electric car we didn’t buy,
idly waiting for congress to decide our lives,
as smoke billows brazen in blood-orange skies,
Earth signals it’s time to sever ties, from unruly tenants who promised to behave,
while crops thirst, wither in decay,
our forests are ablaze,
precious water siphoned away
to lustful lawns growing…
